The Unified School District of Antigo is Hiring an English Language Arts Teacher (Grades 6-12) for the 2025-26 School Year

Position Overview:

We are seeking an English Language Arts teacher (grades 6-12) who is passionate about literacy and committed to fostering student success through engaging and rigorous instruction.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction in English Language Arts for students in grades 6-12.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills.
  • Use data-driven instruction to assess student progress and provide targeted interventions.
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to analyze student data and refine instructional practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin DPI Certification in English Language Arts (grades 6-12).
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of literacy development and best instructional practices.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with student-centered learning, differentiated instruction, and technology integration preferred.
