DeForest Area School District is located just ten miles northeast of Madison in Dane County. We offer outstanding facilities and a competitive salary and benefits package. DASD is seeking an Athletic Department Secretary to support the Athletic & Activities Director; this is a 12 month position. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain records and filing system for the High School Athletic Programs.
Assist with correspondence, schedules and programs for the Athletic Director.
Manage High School Student Athlete Registrations and WIAA records requirements.
Build Rosters and Programs for events and enter data into skyward for high school programs and coaches.
Assist Athletic Director in building the annual high school athletic department budget.
Assist Athletic Director and High School Coaches with budgets and placing orders.
Manage High School Athletic Department Credit Cards and purchases.
Assist Athletic Director and Coaches in managing facility usage and game schedules.
Assist Coaches with end of the year awards, lettering and other recognition.
Hire event workers for all home contests, enter information into rSchool and assist in building event worker job descriptions and pay.
Assist with hiring officials and manage pay vouchers for officials and event workers.
Organize and request transportation for high school athletic programs including entering data into rSchool including supporting coaches with releasing student athletes from school for trips.
Attend meetings as requested.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Associate or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in administrative support, business, or related field.
Progressively responsible administrative support work experience that demonstrates an ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Skilled in Google and office applications including word processing and spreadsheets; knowledge of Skyward preferred.
Demonstration of excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships and represent the district in a positive manner.
Must demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy in busy and stressful situations.
Ability to manage time and multiple priorities with a minimum of direction or supervision.
Must have strong written, verbal, and numerical communication skills.
Significant attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
