DeForest is a growing suburban community located approximately 10 miles northeast of Madison, with a school district committed to continuous improvement. DASD staff collaborate with students, families, and the community to create a supportive and engaging educational experience for all learners. The district offers competitive salaries, benefits, and professional development opportunities to support staff growth. Our schools provide a wide range of extracurricular activities and community service initiatives that enhance student learning. With strong support from the Board of Education, families, and local partners, DASD is dedicated to preparing students to be college, career, and life ready in an ever-changing world.

DASD is seeking an Academic Interventionist, beginning with the 2025-26 school year, serving students in Grades 7 & 8. Academic Interventionists serve as a resource in reading and math for teachers. They work collaboratively with other professionals to implement literacy and math programs for individuals and groups of students and serve as advocates for students who struggle. Specific make-up of the schedule will depend on student data and needs. A background including a variety of ways to teach reading and math preferred.
Candidates must hold a valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license (preferred license in literacy or math), and must have the ability to interact in a constructive manner with students, staff, and the public.
An online cover letter is required. For attachments please submit a resume, a copy of your teaching license, transcripts, and three letters of reference. A set of district questions must be answered.
