Location(s):  Jefferson Elementary (summer school sites, 1 coordinator per site)


Job Type: Temporary, Part-time, 4 days/week M-Th, June 23rd-July 31st, 2025 (7:30am-1pm)

No break the week of July 4th (The 4th is on a Friday) 


Certification Requirements: Applicants must be enrolled in a administration certification program or hold their Principal (5051) / Director of Curriculum (5010) License 


Compensation: Full Amount to be Determined by Enrollment at Summer School 

1-100 students $2,000

101-200 students $3,000

201-300 students $4,000

301-400 students $5,000


Summary:

The Summer School Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the summer school program at a designated school site. This role involves managing staff, coordinating student activities, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment, and communicating with parents and stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the Coordinator of Elementary Instruction and the Manager of Student Supports to implement the curriculum and program schedule.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise summer school staff, including teachers, aides, and administrative personnel.
  • Manage student enrollment, including registration, attendance, and records maintenance.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, school administrators, and community partner.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the summer school program
  • Coordinate with transportation services to ensure students arrive and depart safely
  • Manage the budget for the summer school program, including tracking expenses and making purchasing decisions
  • Implement policies and procedures to maintain a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Other duties as assigned
