The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District is seeking an energetic, positive, knowledgeable, and effective communicator who has the ability to motivate and lead students and staff in the N-O-W Elementary School Principal position for everyone to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate would also be able to build and sustain positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and community members to ensure the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School operates at peak efficiency to provide the best possible education and work environment for all stakeholders. Some of the Elemenatary School Principal duties include: evaluating N-O-W Elementary School staff members using the WI DPI Educator Effectiveness model, monitoring student achievement, encouraging parent involvement, sustaining a positive climate/culture throughout the building, improving and supporting instructional practices, supervising co-curricular events, leading student behavior interventions, Title 1 Coordinator duties as assigned, coordination and implentation of summer school, and fostering the visions of the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District School District. The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School Principal will also demonstrate and communicate values, beliefs, and attitudes that make the well-being and academic success of students the basis for all decision making.
Additional District Information: The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District is located in the beautiful driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin and houses the entire student population (PreK-12th grade) under one roof. There are approximately 650 students PreK-12th grade and 112 staff members that all work hard every day to make our school is a successful place to learn and teach. The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District recently passed a $24.9 million dollar referendum (passed with a 69% community approval rating) that will upgrade Science classrooms, Agriculture classrooms, convert one older gymnasium to a new Fine Arts Center, and expand Technology Education spaces. The referendum will also allow the district to construct a new track & field/PE space/football field, gymnasium with indoor running/walking track, a community fitness center, multi-purpose room. and much more! Construction is already underway and is set with a completion date in December of 2025. It's truly an exciting time to be a Falcon!
