Join our John Long Middle School team as a Library Media Aide, fostering a vibrant learning environment. Collaborate with staff and students to support library resource utilization. Assist students with book checkouts, digital resource access, and technology use. Organize books and contribute to engaging displays. Collaborate with teachers, enhance research skills, and participate in library events. A successful candidate will be comfortable teaching lessons for students and supervising a group of students for reading enrichment activities.

 Qualifications:

          Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

     Passion for promoting literacy and reading.

     Organizational skills.

     Adaptability and multitasking in a dynamic setting.

     Possess the ability to help with student technology, or have the willingness to learn.

     Prior educational/library experience is a plus.

John Long is a middle school serving approximately 450 students and is part of the 16th ranked K-12 school district in the state of Wisconsin. The JLMS Library is staffed by two part-time aides and supported by a Library Media Specialist and a College and Career Ready Instructional Coach. The JLMS Library boasts flexible seating, technology support, a maker space, and an exceptional selection of books geared toward young readers.
