QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in Speech and Language Pathology (1820).
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Deliver group and individual therapy to students who qualify for the children with disabilities program having been identified by an Individual Education Program (IEP) Team. Must have excellent diagnostic evaluation skills, IEP reporting skills, and be an effective team member.
BACKGROUND, ABILITIES, CHARACTERISTICS, ETC.:
Excellent diagnostic skills, participating in and case managing IEPs, and writing IEP plans. Must provide consultation to regular education and special education staff. Must be flexible and willing to work with a wide variety of students, age levels, and ethnic backgrounds.
The Sheboygan Area School District is a strong advocate of best practices. Our District's educational goals are centered on a Professional Learning Community model. We further support our PLC process with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), Response to Intervention (RtI), and 21st Century Skills. The successful candidate(s) for employment in our District need to have a strong working knowledge of the above-listed best-practice concepts that are the centerpieces of our District goals.
