We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Forest Ridge Elementary School as a K4 Special Education Aide working from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (5.5 hrs a day with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch).
This position involves providing support to our youngest learners with special education needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Assistance:
Support the teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional support.
Behavioral Support:
Work collaboratively with the special education team to address behavioral challenges.
Implement behavior management strategies and interventions as directed.
Communication:
Maintain open and regular communication with the classroom teacher and other support staff.
Provide feedback on student progress and challenges.
Daily Routine:
Assist with the daily routine, including transitions between activities and tasks.
Support students during lunch, recess, and other non-classroom activities.
