ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT-MIDDLE (Steffen Middle School)
HOURS: 40 hours/week
WORK PERIOD: 220 work days/school year (normal work schedule approximately August 1st-June 30th) - 216 work days/4 holidays-220 paid days - these dates will be pro-rated based on start
SALARY: $15.94/hour starting-increased compensation based on qualifications and experience
BEGINNING DATE: as soon as possible
This person will be the administrative assistant to the principal of Steffen Middle School with duties that include word processing, reports, etc., placing and receiving phone calls and minor bookkeeping associated with the position. Computer and word processing skills are necessary. See position description below.

The Mequon-Thiensville School District is a PK-12 district located along the coast of Lake Michigan in a northern suburb of Milwaukee that serves more than 3,500 students. Performance Responsibilities:
• Provides secretarial support for building principal
• Obtains, gathers and organizes pertinent data as needed, maintains necessary files

• Orders and maintains supplies as needed, checks in all purchase orders
• Performs bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position
• Schedules appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews
• Assigns duties to and supervises the work of clerical office personnel
• Welcomes visitors and screens callers in accordance with pre-determined policy
• Orders and maintains supplies as needed, checks in all purchase orders
• Performs bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position
• Schedules appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews
• Assigns duties to and supervises the work of clerical office personnel
• Welcomes visitors and screens callers in accordance with pre-determined policy
• Closes office for summer
• Implement and provide the health care services plan as designed by the health care provider or school nurse
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned
