Do you enjoy working with children? The Green Bay Area Public Schools are looking for Bus Monitors to assist with bus pick up and drop off, as well as riding on the bus route for various schools. Bus Monitor positions can also be combined with other support staff roles in the District for additional hours! All part time Monitor positions offer dental and life insurance, as well as sick leave and holiday pay. Positions of 20 hours per week or greater are also eligible for medical insurance. You will be off during the summer months and during holiday breaks. If this sounds like the ideal opportunity for you, please apply!

Mornings Monday-Friday 6:15AM -9:00AM
Midday Monday-Thursday 10:15 AM - 12:00 PM

Essential Functions:
1. Follows the Core Values of the Green Bay Area Public School District as driver of our words and actions.

9. Completes required paperwork, such as daily attendance and bus behavior reports.
10. Maintains ability to monitor and control student behavior on the bus.
11. Recognizes and reinforces positive, desired behaviors.
12. Communicates and refers behaviors to appropriate school district employees, bus driver, and parent(s)/guardian(s).
13. Maintains effective working relationships with other employees and parent(s)/guardian(s).
14. Participates in training as directed.
15. Completes the initial check of students to ensure students are in the correct safety equipment.
16. Follows all Individualized Education Plans (IEP) requirements and compliance related to transportation.
17. Ensures students are properly secured in seat belt locks, harnesses or any other special equipment.
18. Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
1. Work involves frequent deadlines under pressure;
2. Work involves exposure to the general public.
3. Work requires planning with colleagues and others to best meet the needs of those served.
4. Work requires flexibility in adjusting to continuously changing situations.
5. Work entails a flexible daily schedule.
6. Work requires promptness and time-bound schedules.
7. Work involves occasional to frequent walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
