Summer

The Mukwonago Area School District is seeking teachers for the district’s popular and growing Summer Adventures program.  Currently, the district has a range of openings and opportunities including traditional 4K, 5K, and Grade 1 classrooms, and elective courses for Grades 2-8.  Specifically, the district has needs for teachers in classes like Summer Outdoor Games, Soccer Skills, Mad Scientist, Animal Adventures, Junkyard Science, and more!

You can view last year’s course catalog to see typical elective opportunities at https://drive.google.com/file/d/159j3LbMWDobTLq8BrUEYEawB03oxR-Sp/view?usp=drive_link.

Teachers are also invited to propose new elective opportunities for students, particularly around art and STEM types of courses!  Teachers can receive up to an additional $500 for proposing and teaching new elective classes.

Summer Adventures will be hosted at Mukwonago High School on the following dates:

Monday through Thursday, June 23-26

Monday through Thursday, June 30-July 3

Monday through Thursday, July 7-10

Monday through Thursday, July 14-17

Teacher hours are 7:45 am - 12:15 pm.

Teachers are expected to be available Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday (June 18-20) prior to summer school to set up their classroom and get acclimated with their curriculum.

The district will begin reaching out to candidates in January and February to secure employment for the summer, but candidates are encouraged to apply throughout the winter and spring.

An active teaching license is required.
