Full Time

Duties of the Position: Primarily work with special education students. Provide academic, physical, medical, and social support for special education students. Must be able to physically handle the student when necessary, including restraints, transfers, and lifts. May include working in the classroom, the special education room, or other educational environment in the school. Must be able to assist in developing and carrying out very specific and detailed individualized programs for the children in tandem with the Montessori Method.

Special Skills Required: Prefer experience working with students with special needs and knowledge of reading, mathematics, and social skills instruction. Knowledge of the Montessori Method is a plus, but not required. Must be willing to attend training and workshops as deemed appropriate. Must be able to physically restrain and transport children as necessary. Must be eligible for licensing by the Department of Public Instruction. Student confidentiality is a must.

Work Schedule of the Position: School Year Position (180 Days) 7.5 hours per day, 7:30-3:30.
