Under general supervision of the Director of Community Services, the Building Monitor performs operational support by patrolling the Greenheck Turner Community Center facility and grounds to ensure a safe and secure environment while building relationships and providing excellent service to members, guests, and participants. In the absence of management, the Building Monitor will also provide overall supervision of the Greenheck Turner Community Center facility, staff, members, guests, and participants.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Creates an environment that is welcoming and safe for all guests.
  • Acts as point of contact for programs and events held throughout the facility and assists with setup, supervision, and cleanup.
  • On a continual basis, walks all areas of the facility to monitor activities and answer questions.
  • Serves as a resource to all program areas as well as assist the concession stand, front desk, and custodial staff.  
  • Using the crisis management plan, the Building Monitor responds to safety and emergency situations and follows up with a detailed accident/incident report.
  • Provides excellent customer service to current and prospective members.
  • Assists with monitoring and maintaining the facility and restroom cleanliness, security, and safety.
  • Provides facility tours to prospective members.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

HOURS:

  • Flexible availability required, including nights and weekends.
    • Weekday evening shifts are 4:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
    • Weekend shifts are between 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
  • Must be available to work one weekday evening shift each week and 1-2 weekends per month.

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE:

  • $17.00 per hour. 
  • There are no benefits offered with this position.

WHAT IT TAKES:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to walk, stand, carry, pull, push, stoop, and lift frequently throughout shift.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
