The Verona Area School District is seeking two 2025 Summer School Student Support positions (one at the elementary level and at the secondary level). 

 

The Verona Area Summer School runs from June 23 - July 3 and July 7 - July 18.

 

The Summer School Student Support position contributes to the District's educational mission by enhancing classroom instruction, fostering student achievement, and promoting the acquisition of lifelong learning skills. This role emphasizes supporting instructional practices and literacy development to ensure educationally and psychologically healthy environments for all students. The position also provides leadership and consultation to alleviate social, emotional, or environmental difficulties impacting student academic performance, particularly in literacy and related areas. Education and Licensure: Wisconsin DPI Certification and/or prior experience working in an educational student support role. Background in literacy instruction or reading intervention preferred.

 

Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative, approachable demeanor.

 

Certification: NVCI certification or willingness to obtain.

 

Classes will run from 8am-12pm each day.  All summer school teachers (in person, blended, and online classes) will be expected to be at school from 7:30am-12:30pm each day of the session(s).  This position will be paid for a total of 5 hrs/day. 

 

Bilingual (Spanish) skills and Reading Licenses are prioritized
