The Suring School District serves 409 students in grades K– 12. The district covers over 300 square miles of Northern Oconto County. It consists of the Village of Suring, the Towns of Mountain, Bagley, Breed, Doty, How, Maple Valley, Riverview, and Spruce. The school district enrollment is derived primarily from rural farm and recreational areas.
Suring Public School District is fully committed to its mission statement: “Elevating students through education, while fostering community connections.” We believe in providing various opportunities and experiences to educate our students to reach their full potential. We not only provide a high quality education within the classroom, but offer students many curricular and extracurricular activities to ensure students receive a well-rounded education. The Suring Community takes great pride in its school and the education provided to all of its students. We believe the success of any great school district is directly tied to the active and engaged involvement of its stakeholders: students, teachers, staff, administrators, board members, parents/guardians, community members, and businesses. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of best practices in education, provide short and long-term educational, instructional and fiscal leadership, be an effective communicator with all district stakeholders, and be able to successfully network within the educational field and local community.
