DESCRIPTION:
Whitewater Middle School seeks a dedicated Associate Principal for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. Applicants must be committed to continuous improvement and skilled at fostering mutually respectful relationships with students, parents, colleagues and community members. The ideal candidate will be a skilled collaborator and join a school community committed to the PLC process and living our mission for all students.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Middle School Associate Principal is responsible for all aspects of the Middle School in alignment with the District mission, the policies of the School Board, and administrative directive of the Superintendent and working collaboratively with the Middle School Principal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General:
Supports the Principal in instructional oversight of the building.
Thorough knowledge of innovative behavioral strategies is required.
Perform evaluation of staff as assigned by the building Principal.
Handle confidential matters properly.
Assist in the supervision, discipline, and monitoring of students.
Carry out the Board and District vision, mission and goals.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Interact effectively with others.
Demonstrate effective organizational skills.
Exhibit strong public relations skills.
Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and other district residents.
Influence people in their opinions, attitudes, or judgments in the best interest of students and the school community.
Perform various duties as assigned.
Support the Social-Emotional needs of students.
Perform effectively under stress.
Leadership:
Establish building procedures collaboratively.
Promote open communication with faculty members, parents, students and the community through meetings and committee participation.
Effectively implement the district safety plan and empower staff to train students in operational procedures.
The Associate Principal will work collaboratively with the Superintendent and District Leadership Team, support building and district-wide goals/initiatives, and be held directly accountable to the building Principal and Superintendent.
In the absence of the Building Principal, the Associate Principal will assume the duties and responsibilities of the Building Principal.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Middle School Principal.
Qualifications:
A Master's Degree or higher in education from an accredited college or university is required. Certification through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a Principal (5051) and as a teacher. Three years of successful public school teaching experience. Other qualifications as the district deems appropriate.
