Rio MS/HS is seeking a high-quality, engaging coach to gain satisfaction in helping student-athletes develop and achieve their goals. Must be committed to developing responsible and accountable student-athletes. Our goal is to hire a coach that will positively motivate our student-athletes to instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork; while making the education-based athletic experience enjoyable and enriching.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Run safe and structured practices.

  • Apply knowledge to every athlete to develop them to their potential.  

  • Encourage, motivate, and inspire the team.

  • Set individual and team goals.

  • Uphold all extra-curricular program standards and rules.

  • Complete daily or weekly practice plans.  

  • Professionally conduct self and demonstrate an ability to communicate with student-athletes, parents, coaches, and school leaders.

  • Be an active contributor to the school culture through a passion for educational-based athletics.  

  • Contribute to a positive environment by example setting, exhibiting a positive attitude, and demonstrating integrity. 

 

Base Salary

  • $3,000 per season

 

Coaching positions are open until filled

  • Certified teaching license or complete a Fundamentals of Coaching Course before the second year of coaching.

  • Be certified or become certified in CPR/AED/First Aid before the second year of coaching.

  • Have previous teaching or coaching experience at any level.

  • Possess knowledge of the sport.

  • Pass a background check.
