The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District/Brookwood Jr. & Sr. High School is located in the heart of the beautiful driftless region in Southwest Wisconsin and is a school district with an enrollment of approximately 600+ students PreK-12th grades housed in one school building. Our school district strives to provide the best learning and co-curricular opportunities possible for all students every day. The N-O-W School District/Brookwood Jr. & Sr. High School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute to serve as our 7th – 12th grades Agricultural Education Teacher from approximately April 1st through May 28th with some additional obligations in the summer of 2025. This same position will be open for the entire 2025-2026 school year in the absence of our district’s Agriculture Teacher. The Agriculture Teacher will be responsible for overseeing and promoting the overall success of the 7th-12th grade Agriculture program and teaching the following classes:
Agribusiness & Marketing (one semester)
Agriculture Product Processing (one semester)
Greenhouse & Landscape (one semester)
Livestock Animal Science (all year class/transcripted credit)
Leadership (one semester)
Veterinary Science (one semester)
Wisconsin Agriculture (one semester)
7th Grade Exploratory - Semester 1
8th Grade Exploratory - Semester 2
The position will begin on a date near April 1, 2025 and continue through the school calendar until May 28, 2025. There will potentially be some additional requirements for the summer of 2025 where an additional stipend (determined by the district) may be added to the summer Agricultural organizational duties. The Agricultural classroom space will be completely renovated and updated in the summer of 2025, which will be an amazing space! As mentioned above, this position will potentially extend through the entire 2025-2026 school year in the absence of our regular Agricultural Teacher. The long-term substitute position will be paid $120 per day for the first 10 consecutive days as the Ag. Teacher, and then on days 11 and beyond, the long-term sub will be paid based on the district salary schedule entry level teacher wage.
Additional District Information: The N-O-W School District/Brookwood Jr. & Sr. High School is in the construction phase of a near $30 million dollar referendum construction project slated to be complete in December of 2025. Extensive upgrades are being made to nearly all athletic facilities (new football field, running track, and Physical Education spaces was completed in fall of 2024), a new community fitness center, gymnasium, fine arts center, and numerous classroom upgrades throughout the school building in the areas of Technical Education, Agricultural Education, Music Education, Physical Education, and much more will be complete by December of 2025. This renovation project will ultimately make the district an even greater destination for education and co-curricular options.
