HOURS: 40 hours/week (Monday through Friday with weekends - 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with some flexibility depending on workloads)

The Mequon-Thiensville School District is seeking a service oriented individual to apply for the open position of Activities & Safety Attendant. Under the direction of the Director of Buildings and Grounds, this individual will provide daily support to schools along with weekend support for activities and events at MTSD facilities. This position often focuses on event set-up and communication with community members participating in and attending athletic contests and events. This individual will monitor school buildings, grounds to deter, and report violations of the law and/or school board policy.

The Mequon-Thiensville School District is a PK-12 district located along the coast of Lake Michigan in a northern suburb of Milwaukee that serves more than 3,500 students. Working in the Mequon-Thiensville School District means you are part of a team of educational professionals that ensures each student has the necessary tools to create their own personal path to success.

ACTIVITIES & SAFETY ATTENDANT
Required Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience:
• First Aid/CPR certified
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license
• Flexible and able to alter work schedule for special events
• Dependable and conscientious with strong work ethic
• Ability to interact positively with staff, students and parents
• Skilled at simultaneously performing multiple tasks
Physical requirements:
• Prolonged periods of work involving standing or walking most of the time
• Exerting up to 80 pounds of force on a regular basis
• Normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities
Reports to: Director of Buildings & Grounds
Essential Functions:
• Support school and rental agency activities and functions throughout the district including, but not limited to:
Set-up
Onsite support
Cleaning as necessary
Take-down and storage
• Sustain and communication with the school district, recreation department and their activity and rental agency staff
• Maintain high visibility throughout the district buildings and grounds, especially during events
• Assist with the distribution of supplies throughout the district
• Monitor school buildings, and parking lots to deter, detect and report violations of the law and/or school board policies
• Scan for and report unauthorized or suspicious persons, vehicles and/or activities
• Perform special projects as directed by the Director of Buildings and Grounds
• Fill in for absences of other buildings and grounds department employees
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned
