Position Summary:
The Spanish Teacher is responsible for teaching Spanish language and culture to students. The teacher will develop and implement lesson plans that engage students, foster their interest in the Spanish language, and enhance their cultural awareness and understanding. This role includes preparing students for proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish, while creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Essential Job Functions:

Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that align with state and district standards.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of our diverse student population.

Establish and maintain a positive, organized, and respectful classroom environment.

Implement effective and inclusive classroom management strategies to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refind curriculum materials and instructional practices.

Participate in professional development days and opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.

Plan and organize activities, and encourage students to explore and respect cultural diversity through language learning.

Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and other school events as necessary.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required information; adhere to school policies, procedures and ethical standards.
