Oak Creek High School is in search of a knowledgeable, personable, passionate and motivated individual to take over as the Head Varsity Football Coach.  Oak Creek High School Football has a long, proud tradition of success and those individuals that are interested in building on this great tradition moving forward are encouraged to apply.  
Some of the responsibilities of the Head Varsity Football Coach include:
  • In Game Coaching: Developing sound game strategies and schemes with their staff on a weekly basis to match the team's personnel strengths  
     
     
     
  • Practice: Planning and organizing efficient and effective practice sessions, including drills,  conditioning , and film study  
  • Scheduling: Scheduling opponents and facilities for practices and games with the Athletic Department 
  • Monitoring: Monitoring players' academic and behavior performance in season and out of season to ensure they meet eligibility requirements 
  • Managing: Managing the program's operational, fiscal, and administrative activities including working with the OC Football Booster Club (QB Club) on a monthly basis
  • Promoting: Promoting the program through community events, public speaking, marketing, including speaking with students in the building about joining the football program 
  • Following rules: Ensuring that student athletes and coaching staff follow all rules and regulations laid out by the WIAA and OCHS Athletic Department 
  • Supervising and Evaluating: Supervising and evaluating all assistant coaches and ensuring they are working to help players understand the fundamentals and philosophies as outlined by the Head Varsity Coach.
  • Providing feedback: Providing feedback before, during and after practices/games to promote a consistent growth mindset amongst our student-athletes and the entire coaching staff
  • Maintaining records: Maintaining player and team records  
  • Equipment Oversight:  Keep detailed spreadsheets and records of equipment needs and replacement procedures as set forth by the NFHS and WIAA
  • Youth Football Coordination:  Work closely with the Oak Creek Youth Football Board and coaches in the youth program to provide guidance and leadership in how the youth can be properly coached and developed to one day have success at the high school level.
  • Weight Room:  Work closely with coaching staff and school personnel to develop an efficient and effective in season and out of season weightlifting and conditioning program for players to follow.
