Position Details
Duties of the Position:
-
Innovative educator who works collaboratively with colleagues and develops positive relationships with students and parents.

Instruction of students with disabilities including team teaching
-
Case management for students with disabilities including: creating functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, assessments, creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans, progress monitoring, collaborating with school staff and parents

Work collaboratively with all school staff to ensure appropriate programming for students with disabilities
-
Knowledge of RtI, Differentiated Instruction, iReady math and reading, technology integration, assessment and analysis of academic data, Positive Behavioral and Interventions and Supports and Professional Learning Communities also desired.
Special Skills Required:
Prefer applicants possessing the following qualifications:

Experience working within a co-plan/co-serve team of general education and special education teachers to meet the needs of all students

Prior teaching experience with students with special education needs preferred, but not required

Experience with autism and EBD programming is preferred

Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)

Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or willingness to obtain these certifications is preferred
Required License Number: Wisconsin teaching certification required: Special Education- Cross Categorical and/or Emotional Behavioral Disability and/or Specific Learning Disability and/or Cognitive Disabilities. Multiple certifications are preferred.
Work Schedule of the Position: 7.5 hours per day, 7:30-3:30,
Salary Placement: Starting salary is $45,841. Placement on the salary schedule is based on education and experience. Salary will be prorated based on start date.
