The Stone Bank School District, located in the heart of Lake Country, seeks an energetic, dynamic, student-centered team player to serve our school community as a Superintendent/Principal beginning July 1, 2025. Our school district consists of a single building serving grades 4K through 8th with approximately 240 students, who feed into Arrowhead Union High School in Hartland. Our mission is to educate students in thoughtful, purposeful, and meaningful ways grounded in our tradition to foster lifelong growth. Our vision is to honor the history of our community while developing Strong Learners, Strong Leaders, and Strong Community Members.
The ideal candidate will value team building and collaboration with staff, students, and families to create a challenging and nurturing learning climate and culture. We intend to engage and empower all students. The optimal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the community's high regard for doing what is best for all learners. They will build and maintain strong grade-level teams, continue the tradition of academic excellence, and serve as a visionary leader in the community.
260 Day Contract/Salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
- Possess a master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university.
- Completed an accredited program in school administration.
- Hold a District Administrator license from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
- Demonstrate strong instructional leadership along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with WUFAR and WI School Finance.
Job Goals
The Superintendent/Principal is the administrative head of the District and serves as the main official for the Board. They are directly responsible for providing leadership and direction for the District. This role is carried out in accordance with the District's philosophy, objectives, policies, and all relevant State and Federal laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversees and facilitates strategic improvement processes, ensuring the District’s mission, vision, and goals are achieved so that all students are prepared for careers and college, becoming globally competitive.
- Experience in school operations including budgeting, school finance, policy development, and strategic use of resources.
- Serves as the District's instructional leader, supporting the success of all students by leading the creation, implementation, and review of instructional systems that promote high student achievement and professional development for staff.
- Fosters the success of all students by implementing effective and collaborative human resource systems that result in a student-centered, diverse, and high-performing staff.
- Promotes the well-being and success of all staff and students through a continuous improvement process for effective operations and resource management.
- Enhances the success of all students through effective communication, collaboration, and connection with the Board, staff, families, community, and other stakeholders.
- Supports the success of all students and staff by demonstrating professional and ethical behavior, engaging in ongoing professional development, and contributing to the education profession.
