Duties of the Position: Assist the Head Gymnastics Coach with all aspects SHS’s gymnastics program as assigned. The assistant coach should be a developer, teacher, achiever, and problem solver who demonstrates a high degree of integrity, trust, responsibility, positivity, and flexibility.

Special Skills Required: The preferred candidate with have knowledge in the sport of volleyball, in the art of coaching high school age students, and coaching experience.  Additional skills would include the ability to work collaboratively with parents, coaches, booster club, youth programs and administrative staff to provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes. Demonstrates a high degree of empathy, positivity, trust, responsibility, discipline and flexibility. Is a developer, teacher, achiever and problem solver. Understanding of the dynamics, expectations and realistic demands of a high school experience

Degree/Special Training Required: Certified and will maintain certification in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and AED operation. Coaches that are not licensed to teach are required to take a coaching fundamentals course.

Must be available for daily practices and competitions for the fall sports season.
