The D.C. Everest School Forest (Twin Oaks Environmental Center) in Mosinee, Wisconsin is offering an evening winter staff position beginning late November 2024, continuing through mid-March 2025. This position would require availability for two consecutive evenings per week, Monday through Thursday. The work schedule is 4:30 pm – 7:00 am, including the overnight 9:00 pm to 7:00 am. The Twin Oaks Environmental Center is located approximately 15 minutes from the village of Weston and approximately one half-hour northeast of Stevens Point.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Teach evening interpretive programs and MC campfire and skit night as a grand finale for each 5th grade student group. Interpretive evenings may include journaling and natural sketching, owl calling, and wildlife programs.
• Supervise students in an overnight setting. (There are also opportunities to participate in day programs as part of an internship or student teaching experience, which could carry university credit).
WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE:
• $17.00 per hour for the 4:30-9:00 pm shift.
• An overnight stipend of $140.00 which compensates for the hours of 9:00 pm until 7:00 am.

WHAT IT TAKES:
• Preferred undergraduate or graduate work in:
• Environmental Education
• Elementary or Secondary Education
• Natural Resources programs
• Preferred experience in environmental education/camp/school forest programs.
• Current Basic First Aid/CPR certification required.
