The Forensics Coach is responsible for leading and coaching students in competitive speech events. The coach will mentor students in various forensics categories, foster teamwork, and prepare them for local, regional, and national competitions. The role involves organizing practices, facilitating tournament participation, and encouraging personal and academic growth through public speaking and critical thinking.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in speech, debate, forensics, or competitive public speaking (preferred).

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work well with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.

  • Availability to attend after-school practices, weekend tournaments, and out-of-town competitions.

  • Commitment to fostering a positive, educational, and competitive environment.

 

  • Familiarity with the rules and formats of various forensics events

  • Ability to coach students in research, argumentation, and presentation techniques.

  • Experience in managing teams and organizing events or competitions.
