Openings:Multiple at Elementary, Middle and High Schools

Hours: As needed

 
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing district policies and procedures, including but not limited to emergency procedures, building orientation, confidentiality, data collection, and classroom management.

  • Assist students in academic areas such as reading, writing, or math.  This includes implementing curriculum and adapting instructional strategies and materials according to the needs of the student under the direction of a licensed teacher.

  • Support licensed teachers in the implementation of behavioral management. 

  • Comfortable working daily with students at Elementary or Secondary levels, including children who demonstrate academic, intellectual, and behavioral challenges.

  • Monitor students and assist special education students in class or hallway, during lunch, recess, crossing guard duties, field trips, or other activities as needed.

  • Maintain boundaries and confidentiality with students, families, and staff and refer parents’ questions about the school community to the teacher or principal.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervising teachers and administration.
