ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide leadership in development, implementation and coordination of interscholastic athletic programs.
2. Orientation of coaching personnel to their assignments at time of appointment.
3. Work with the coaching staff in the maintenance of an inventory of athletic equipment and supplies.
4. Organization of the budget presentation to the administration and Board of Education.
5. Assisting with coordination of facility usage (Gymnasium, fields, rental facilities).
6. Supervision and/or assignment for supervision/workers for all scheduled events (The host coach becomes the
contest manager when administrative staff is not in attendance).
7. Promotion of good sportsmanship at events.
8. Evaluation of the condition of athletic facilities and initiates recommendations for maintenance and
improvement.
9. Receives and processes reports on athletic injuries (coordinates with athletic trainer).
10. Coordination of transportation requests.
11. Responsible for recruitment, selection, and assignment of personnel assigned to interscholastic athletics.
12. Recruitment and retention of coaching personnel, while working with District Athletic Directors and Head
Coaches, for seventh, eighth, and ninth grade teams.
13. Determination of personnel needs for interscholastic athletics staff.
14. Provide school, conference and WIAA regulations to the coaching staff.
15. Monitors, with the help of coaches, the eligibility of athletes for program participation.
16. Responsible for the development of athletic schedules and any changes or rescheduling which may be needed.
17. Makes the assignment of officials and issues contracts for all home contests
