This individual will work closely with the School Nurse in providing service to assist staff, students, families and groups to achieve optimal levels of wellness through health education, consultation and other duties as identified in the attached position description.

The Mequon-Thiensville School District is a PK-12 district located along the coast of Lake Michigan in a northern suburb of Milwaukee that serves more than 3,500 students. Working in the Mequon-Thiensville School District means you are part of a team of educational professionals that ensures each student has the necessary tools to create their own personal path to success.

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma/valid Wisconsin drivers license
2. Dependable and conscientious with strong work ethic
3. Effective communication skills
4. CNA Certification or Med Tech Certification – preferred
5. Health Care Experience – preferred
6. Knowledge of Principles and Practices of First Aide-preferred
Reports to:
Executive Director of Student Services, Building Principals or District Nurse
Performance Responsibilities:
• Administers medications to students
• Prepares student medications for field trips
• Maintains current health condition records and accurate medication records
• Cares for students who come into the health room when they are ill and/or injured
• Establishes and maintains relationships with students, staff and parents
• Maintains effective communication with the District Nurse
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned
Terms of Employment:
• Nine/ten month year
• Subject to terms of the Mequon-Thiensville School District Employee Handbook
Evaluation:
• Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Educational Support Personnel
