Coordination and Organization:

Identify and develop job opportunities within the school and community.

Match students with appropriate job roles based on their interests, abilities, and IEP goals.

Create and maintain a schedule that ensures students receive a balanced experience.

Facilitation and Support:
-
Provide on-the-job training and support to students.
-
Monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.
-
Implement strategies to help students overcome challenges and succeed in their roles.
-
Assist students with writing resumes, completing job applications, and looking for job opportunities.

Transport and supervise students at job placement sites

Communication:
-
Serve as the primary contact for all stakeholders, including students, parents, school staff, and community business partners.
-
Regularly update stakeholders on student progress and program developments.

Collaborate daily with the case manager to ensure clear and effective communication.

Supervision/Education:
-
Implement plans specified by the teacher. Encouraged to give suggestions for activities based on student need

Implements designs, assists with maintenance of classroom

Reinforces and services practice of skills with individual and small groups.
-
Note observations and progress monitor.
-
Observe behavior, carry out behavior management plans, and record data.
-
Completes daily logs for students with teachers' approval, provide observations to teachers on student behavior and academic progress

Administers assessments to determine present levels of performance & progress monitors to measure student progress

Assist with monitoring all students

Assistance with student feeding and toileting as needed
- Full-time position with 35 Hours per week on school days when students are present.
- Position includes limited summer hours
- Pay $17.43 / Hour
- Benefit Eligible (health, dental, vision, long-term disability, WRS retirement)
- Ability to obtain Special Education Paraprofessional License through DPI
- Valid WI driver's license
- Experience working with students with disabilities
