Farmington Elementary, part of the Kewaskum School District, is seeking a passionate, dedicated art teacher to join our team! The teacher in this position will teach general art to students in kindergarten through fifth grades. The ideal candidate has experience teaching art to elementary students (K-5) with a flair of creativity!
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Creates developmentally-appropriate, meaningful learning experiences based on approved curriculum and art standards.
  • Collaboratively plans units and lessons to meet the needs of all students.
  • Delivers engaging lessons using a variety of instructional strategies.
  • Uses data to measure student progress, guide instruction, and provide timely feedback.
  • Creates a respectful, safe, positive, student-centered learning environment.
  • Acts in a professional, collaborative manner and engages in continual growth.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Be committed to meeting the needs of a diverse student population.
  • Understands subject and grade level state standards for all courses taught.
  • Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
  • Recognizes the need for continuous improvement, reflection, and self-evaluation.
