Full Time
Salem Grade School is currently seeking a full-time aide to support classrooms in 3rd and 4th grades for the 24-25 school year. The Classroom Aide will oversee responsibilities as designated by the classroom teachers and will help to support educational programming by working directly with students. The aide will assist students in both the classroom setting and in small groups as directed by the teacher.
Essential Job Functions
• Work within a collaborative team.
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and students.
• Participate in required trainings for curricular resources, school safety procedures, etc. as determined by administration.
• Serve as a positive role model for students in how to conduct themselves as responsible citizens.
• Teach and reinforce Salem's values of respect, responsibility, and safety.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary within the scope of the employment position.
Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested.
• Ability to work effectively with groups and individuals.
• Strong leadership ability.
• Ability to assist with educational programming.
• Effective speaking and writing skills.
• Creative and imaginative approach to problems.
• Use of culturally responsive practices.
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and students.
