Experience:
Minimum of three years of experience in technology support, or related experience required. Demonstrate experience in the area of technology support. Experience with network infrastructure, server operating systems (server 2012 and beyond) and desktop operating systems, including Windows, Chrome, Mac, and iOS. 
 
Preferred: A+ Certification, 2-year degree in a technical field related to computers, software or software engineering, networks or network engineering or equivalent training or experience. Experienced in setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network switches and wireless access points. Is knowledgeable of, and able to identify and escalate potential cybersecurity events.
 
Job Goal:
Provide school-level technology support for designated schools
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Configure, image, install and update software on devices throughout the school district.
2.  Install and support instructional software, hardware, student 1:1 devices, and other electronic instructional resources including printers and copiers.
3. Troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve, and communicate regarding help desk requests in a timely manner.
4. Assist in IT network device setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
5. Assist with system infrastructure support, including servers, security systems, public address systems, and telephone systems.
5. Provide on-site professional development and technology support instruction in the effective use of technology.
6. Collaborate with other members of the district technical support team, seeking and providing assistance to colleagues. Escalate unresolved technology issues as appropriate.
7. Promote and model effective use of technology in support of the district’s strategic plan.
8. Create and maintain support documentation.
9. Set up and maintain technology devices in support of student assessments.
10. Deliver training on and support of district student information systems and communications software and equipment.
11. Understand, adhere to, and promote the District’s Acceptable Use Policy, Copyright policies, or any other policy relating to technology.
12. Operate within district technology budgets for computer-related supplies, hardware, software licenses, and support contracts.
13. Assist in maintaining inventory of all district technology equipment.
14. Provide telephone and voicemail system maintenance and service requests.
15. Specific projects and duties may be assigned based on the Director of Technology discretion.
16. Be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
17. Hold and maintain a current driver’s license. Must be able to provide own transportation to perform school visits.
18. Other Duties as Assigned.
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The employee has frequent contact with students and members of the community. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to engage in conversations and is required to utilize communication skills, such as speaking and listening.  The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk at regular intervals throughout the workday.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  Essential functions require a high level of concentration and attention to detail.
