The Stone Bank School District has an opening for a full-time 3rd grade teacher. Stone Bank School provides students with comprehensive curricular programming and extra-curricular activities to meet individual student needs and interests.
Candidates should possess:
• Appropriate DPI certification in Elementary/Regular Education.
• Experience in teaching at the elementary level.
• Utilize current research-based best practices that model the skills and practices of life-long learning.
• Effectively engage students by using a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Systematically gather, analyze, and use relevant data to measure student progress, guide instructional content/delivery methods, and provide timely
feedback to student.
• Provide a respectful, safe, positive, and student-centered environment that is conducive to student engagement and learning.
• Reflect upon one’s practice in order to continually evaluate the effects of one’s teaching choices and actions on students, parents, and others in the
professional learning community and to grow professionally.
• Use technology to integrate strategies to promote 21st Century skills into the instruction for all students.
• Display a disposition and attitude that promotes a positive school and classroom environment and fosters students’ belief in themselves.
• Positive behavior expectations are used to reinforce an environment conducive to learning.
• Develops effective parent relationships.
Stone Bank School District is a PK-8 district servicing students in the Town of Oconomowoc, Merton and Village of Chenequa. Students typically transition to Arrowhead High School after completing 8th grade.
Please include a minimum of three letters of recommendation, including one from your current administrator in your application. Recent graduates may include a letter from your cooperating teacher from your student teaching experience. Applicants without these items may not be considered for the position.
