The Nicolet Union High School District is a four year public high school with a multicultural student population of approximately 1100 students. Nicolet serves the Milwaukee suburbs of Bayside, Fox Point, Glendale and River Hills. We are committed to student achievement, consistently ranking among the highest performing schools in Wisconsin. Nicolet is looking for a dynamic student centered instructional leader to serve the learning community as Director of Student Services. The Director will serve at the district level to create a safe, positive, and orderly learning community. This individual will lead the students and staff in accordance with the Districts mission, vision, and goals. The Director must be a collaborative team member, demonstrate sound instructional leadership, and be focused on student achievement. Previous experience with closing achievement gaps and opportunity gaps is preferred. Nicolet Union High School operates as a professional learning community that views diversity as an asset. Collaboration with staff and parents are essential components of our learning environment. The Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with all stakeholders, leading school activities, and managing special education and school counseling services.

  • Master’s Degree with a major in education administration/supervision.
  • Current certification or eligible for a Wisconsin certification as a director of pupil services
  • Successful teaching and administrative experience
  • Organizational skills
  • Strong instructional leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of high school curriculum
Sample responsibilities include...
  • Assisting IEP teams, ADA compliance, grant writing, and hiring student services staff
  • Conducts Special Education meetings
  • Evaluates teachers, counselors and support staff
  • Prepares and supervises the budget for Special Education services
  • Administrator in charge of ISES, 504 program, homeless student reports, foreing exchange program, ELL program, and serves as District Title 9 Coordinator
