The Verona Area School District is looking for student-focused, dedicated, and equity-centered candidates to join our diverse district. The Verona Area School District is seeking applicants for the following position.
1.0 Dean of Students at the Verona Area School District.
Position to start on August 20, 2024
The Dean of Students is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful school culture that fosters student growth and achievement. This role focuses on creating systems, implementing procedures and supporting student discipline, attendance, and overall well-being, working closely with students, staff, caregivers, and the community to support student success.
Candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education with an interest in Educational Leadership, a minimum of 5 years of experience in an educational setting, with preference given to those who have experience with student behavior and support needs
- Valid Wisconsin Teaching License to include grades 9-12
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a diverse and inclusive educational environment with a commitment to service.

Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish, are highly desirable.

A philosophy rooted in equity and the dismantling of traditional barriers to access.
