Full Time
The School District of Rhinelander has a 1.0 FTE, Special Education Teacher position opening for the 2024-2025 school year.  We offer competitive salary and benefits, including a continuing education benefit that provides upto $20,000 towards your continuing education (i.e. graduate certificate, additional licensure etc).  We also provide multiple leves of support to new teachers, including an assigned mentors and the support of a Program Support Teacher.   Our Mission is Equity, Empowerment, Excellence for All! #TheHodagWay

WI Certification Cross-Categorical #801, Intellectual Disabilities #810, Learning Disabilities
#811 and/or Emotional/Behavioral Disability #830;
will consider other special education licenses

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Utilize creative and innovative classroom instructional practices
• Educate and engage all students
• Develop and build positive relationships with others, especially parents
• Remain current and utilize best special education classroom instructional practices
• Work collaboratively and cooperatively with both special education and regular education staff
• Work in a EMLSS academic and behavior environment
• Desire to integrate multiple means of technology in lesson design
• Ability to implement academic and behavioral interventions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast pace flexible environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with IEP teams and meet compliance deadlines
• Willingness to learn and apply Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) strategies
• Knowledge of the evaluation process and corresponding documentation
• Knowledge of college and career ready IEP process
• Knowledge of functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plans
• Knowledge of fast bridge assessments and progress monitoring
• Knowledge of components of successful reading instruction
• Knowledge of UDL framework
• Knowledge of Infinite Campus as it relates to documenting information
