Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Participate in IDEA evaluations and IEP processes, following Federal and State regulations, and District processes, including implementing relevant assessments, interpreting and analyzing results, writing reports and contributing to the decisions required for evaluation and IEP development.
• Implement specially designed instruction to students identified with a speech and language disability in a manner that follows Federal and State regulations, adheres to LRE and serves students to improve access to general education.
• Works cooperatively with school personnel to accomplish the goals and objectives outlined on the IEP.
• Maintains records of speech and language progress and prepares reports are required by IDEA and District standards.
• Adheres to established rules, regulations laws and appropriate ethical standards.
• Plans evidenced based interventions appropriate for individual students and groups of students.
• Uses evidence based methods and techniques appropriate to stated objectives.
• Maintains student confidentiality.
• Collaborates with appropriate school personnel regarding student specific speech and language services, and implementation throughout the school day.
• Monitors students’ performance and growth as identified on IEPs.
• Manages the facilities, materials and equipment, including assistive technology, necessary to deliver services.
• Promotes positive and effective interpersonal relations with students.
• Engages in ongoing professional development activities related to the field and in alignment with the District.
• Provides consultation to parents, teachers and other appropriate school personnel.
• Seeks assistance of teachers, parents and others to meet the speech and language needs of the students.
• Consults or collaborates with relevant non-school agencies to enhance services for students.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Master’s Degree in communication disorders

• Wisconsin DPI license #1820 Speech/Language Pathology
• Must be able to work independently as well as within a team.• Experience in a school district setting is highly desirable.
