We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator to join our team as a full-time Early Education Teacher—the ideal candidate who can direct and manage the overall Early Childhood Program. Provide a flexible class environment favorable to learning and individual growth. Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge sufficient for a solid foundation for early childhood education in accordance with each student’s abilities.
Responsibilities:

Deliver an enhanced, developmentally appropriate early childhood and 4K curriculum

Understand the developmental stages of early childhood and developmentally appropriate practices
-
Use the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) to reinforce the 4K curriculum, (WMELS training is a plus)

Support social and emotional development

Use ongoing progress monitoring to determine the needs of individual students and lesson planning

An inclusive philosophy that embraces 21st-century skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders and a dedication to building lasting relationships with students, staff, families, and the community

Interact with children respectfully and practice active listening skills

Organize the environment to support play-based learning
-
Routinely communicate to provide families with information, regarding early childhood programming, current learning activities, and child development

Assist in planning and implementing parent meetings, special programs, and training events to support early childhood parent outreach activities

Work effectively with all children and their families
-
Communicate constructively and work cooperatively with interpreters, paraprofessionals, itinerant teachers or other professional staff

Use problem-solving conflict resolution process/communication strategies with the ability to maintain composure in difficult situations

Maintain confidentiality
-
Physically able to withstand the rigors of working with three and four-year-olds, being able to get on their level, stand, bend, and lift, if necessary

Currently, or able to be, licensed by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction with an Early Childhood Education License 1809

Strong instructional skills with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
