We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator to join our team as a full-time General Music Teacher. The ideal candidate who can direct and manage the overall program of instrumental music for the Elementary school. Provide a flexible class environment favorable to learning and individual growth. Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge sufficient for a solid foundation for higher grade education in accordance with each student’s abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement plans for the elementary school instrumental music program

• Direct elementary school instrumental performers. Maintain care and responsibility for school-owned music, musical instruments and equipment to prevent loss or abuse

• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior required to achieve a functional learning classroom environment

• Evaluate and report on students' progress

• Establish and utilize productive relationships with caregivers

• Meet and confer with students’ caregivers to discuss their student’s progress and objectives

• Maintain accurate and complete student records in accordance with district policies and state requirements

• Enforce administration policies and rules governing assigned students and class activities

Qualifications:

• General Music Teaching License

• Strong instructional skills with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment.
