Elementary School General Music Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative educator to join our team as a full-time General Music Teacher. The ideal candidate who can direct and manage the overall program of instrumental music for the Elementary school. Provide a flexible class environment favorable to learning and individual growth. Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge sufficient for a solid foundation for higher grade education in accordance with each student’s abilities.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement plans for the elementary school instrumental music program

Direct elementary school instrumental performers. Maintain care and responsibility for school-owned music, musical instruments and equipment to prevent loss or abuse

Establish and maintain standards of student behavior required to achieve a functional learning classroom environment

Evaluate and report on students' progress

Establish and utilize productive relationships with caregivers
-
Meet and confer with students’ caregivers to discuss their student’s progress and objectives
-
Maintain accurate and complete student records in accordance with district policies and state requirements

Enforce administration policies and rules governing assigned students and class activities
Qualifications:

General Music Teaching License
-
Strong instructional skills with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment.

Whe have dedicated Common Planning Time, Team Time as well as Wednesday Collaboration through early release to foster and grow in the implementation of PLCs.
