KTEC High School is a new public charter school that opened its doors to students on September 6, 2022. KTEC HS is looking for strong, forward-thinking individuals to build the foundation of the school. 

Students at KTEC HS will earn certifications that align with competencies identified by industry. This model prepares students for post-secondary education as was as being workforce ready. Students will be empowered to develop a strong sense of character, understand how to function collectively within society and be career and future focused.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Integrated Science Teacher to join our high school faculty. This position involves teaching a comprehensive three-year science program designed to provide students with a deep understanding of various scientific principles and practical skills. The curriculum includes Physical Science, Physics, and a third science field, which will be determined collaboratively with the teacher and administration based on student interest and emerging scientific trends. 

The successful candidate will possess a broad knowledge of the sciences and a passion for teaching and inspiring high school students. They will design and implement engaging lessons that not only cover theoretical aspects of science but also incorporate hands-on experiments, real-world applications, and preparation for industry-recognized certifications. Students will have the opportunity to earn certifications in Electricity, Mechatronics, AC/DC, and other areas, equipping them with valuable skills for future educational and career opportunities. Certifications will be based on NC3 certifications, Festo Automation, and other recognized standards. 

The Integrated Science Teacher will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for science. They will collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student success and contribute to the school's mission of providing a high-quality education. Additionally, the teacher will stay abreast of the latest developments in science education and industry standards to ensure the program remains current and relevant. The teacher may also be required to complete summer training to stay updated with new certification requirements and teaching methods.
