The Arrowhead Union High School District seeks a highly dedicated high school Chemistry and Biology teacher committed to continuous improvement and best practice.  We strive to hire educators who are determined to see all students succeed, reflective of their practice, cognizant of their mindset and results-orientated.  Applicants must be committed to continuous improvement and skilled at fostering mutually respectful relationships with students, parents, colleagues and community members.  We look for individuals whose creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm and professionalism are contagious.

The ideal candidate for this teaching position will be familiar with state and professional academic standards and have a firm grasp on best instructional practice.  Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate successful use of formative assessment data to guide instruction and foster student-ownership for learning.  Successful experience integrating technology into personalized learning opportunities is highly desired.

Experience teaching high school Chemistry and Biology courses are desired; a Chemistry (1610) and Biology (1605) certification OR Science (2600) is required.

Department of Public Instruction teacher certification is necessary, but applicants without DPI certification may be considered, particularly if willing and eligible to pursue an alternative pathway to certification:  https://dpi.wi.gov/tepdl/pathways.

A tireless work ethic and sense of humor are mandatory.  Only intrinsically motivated individuals with the most positive of attitudes should consider working in this highly regarded district where students' needs come first.

Stats.), ancestry, arrest record, conviction record, use or non-use of lawful products off the District’s premises during non-working sponsored meetings or to participate in any communication with the employer about religious matters or political matters, or any other characteristic protected by law in its employment practices.  Applicants requiring assistance should contact the District.
