Lincoln Elementary School is seeking a positive and child-centered individual to work as a Special Education part-time paraprofessional. The hours for this position will be 5.5 hours per day Monday-Friday. The successful applicant will possess quality collaborative skills and be ready to make a difference in the lives of children.

Whitewater Unified School District has elements of rural and suburban communities. The City of Whitewater has a population of approximately 14,500. Whitewater is located in southern Wisconsin, approximately 45 miles west of Milwaukee, 45 miles east of Madison, and 100 miles northwest of Chicago. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, with an enrollment of over 10,500 students, offers residents a variety of cultural and educational opportunities.
Qualified candidates should have the ability to work effectively with small groups of children, work collaboratively with teachers and other professional staff, prepare supplementary materials at the teacher's directions, communicate with parents, and respect confidentiality. Preference will be given to candidates that have a minimum of two years of education at an institution of higher education/equivalent background/training or experience. Experience with children in a special education environment and Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
