The Menominee Indian School District has a full time position available as a Social Studies Teacher at the Menominee Indian Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate shall possess a Social Studies certification from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate shall possess the ability to develop in each pupil an appreciation of American ideals and cultural heritage; to develop proficiency in the use of social studies inquiry skills and concepts; motivate each pupil to understand and exercise their rights, privileges, and responsibilities as a citizen; develop an understanding of the geographical, historical, cultural, and political factors which influence the development of world, state, national and local regions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instruct, monitor and adjust teaching activities to assure student achievement, develop curriculum, plan and implement teaching strategies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and co-workers.  The successful candidate will provide tolerance, extend understanding and nurturing to all students.
