Full Time

Job Goal: To provide excellent customer service to students, staff, families and community members.  Provides administrative assistance to the Activities Director and assists in the coordination of activities involving the athletic and activity department.

 

Reports To:  High School Principal/Activities Director

 

Job Responsibilities:  

  1. Develops necessary information regarding athletics/activities for student athletes and parents including registration, eligibility, and lettering requirements.

  2. Maintains necessary athlete records and paperwork required for eligibility to participate

in athletics.

  1. Assists in the coordination of athletic events, including communication and scheduling of all home sporting events, code meetings, and practices.

  2. Coordinates travel arrangements as necessary for all team away events.

  3. Assists in the coordination of athletic event workers, including; recruiting, assigning

duties, training, and processing payments.

  1. Processes athlete registration materials and communicates with families as needed.

  2. Maintains athlete academic eligibility records.

  3. Performs secretarial and administrative duties as requested by the Athletic Director and

coaches.

  1. Administers and collects athletic fees/payment for athletic/activity competitions and events.

  2. Composes and types routine correspondence, files documents, and prepares a variety of

records, schedules, calendars, and bulletins.

 

  1. Organizes and prepares materials for the end of the year banquets for each sport.

  2. Purchases and maintains athlete awards, including chevrons and letters.

  3. Assists with the contracting of game officials and processing contracts through use of the appropriate system.

  4. Perform other duties and assignments as requested.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.

  • Knowledge of student information systems Skyward, Microsoft Office, and Google.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relations with all stakeholders.

  • Professional, pleasant and cordial demeanor.

  • Courteous telephone skills.

 

Physical Requirements:  

This work regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing and occasionally requires  pushing, pulling, lifting, and operating machines; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, and observing general surroundings and activities; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. school offices/classrooms/passageways).
