SUMMARY:
The Student Services Coordinator will support High Marq’s mission of creating compassionate learners, promoting meaningful work, and creating sustainable communities by assisting with the school’s project and place-based educational initiatives. The Student Services Coordinator will provide daily academic guidance to students, perform administrative duties for the school, and support the field program. Administrative responsibilities include managing digital communications with students and families, maintaining attendance and admissions records, handling clerical duties, and other responsibilities as indicated below. This is a full-time nine-month position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support to weekly field experiences including helping with logistics, monitoring data collection projects, and supervising students in various outdoor environments.
Provide support to students with mathematics, reading and writing on an individual basis.
Provide help with school events and activities, including occasional events outside of normal school hours.
Work with teachers and students to facilitate and support educational programming.
Assist students with learning and understanding of concepts and skills related to their individual research projects in order to complete assigned tasks.
Maintain a basic understanding of academic subject areas for 7th through 12th grades.
Perform administrative duties as needed.
Monitor school admissions and student attendance.
Manage digital communications to families and community supporters.
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Attend to a child's special needs as directed by the school nurse, case worker or therapist, which may involve bending and/or lifting.
Monitor and maintain student activities as assigned in various physical spaces.
Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 40 pounds, bending, twisting, and kneeling with frequency.
Ability to walk long distances and over a variety of terrains.
Ability to supervise outdoor activities year round under varying weather conditions.

TRAINING:
May be expected to be trained in Adult and Child CPR, AED, First Aid, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
A strong interest in the field of education and helping students be successful.
Experience working outdoors with youth is desired.
Excellent communication skills.
Efficient, organized, and able to multitask.
