Position: Secondary School Counselor
Wisconsin Certification: 54 or 7054 School Counselor
Are you interested in working in a school that values culture, collaboration, and continuous improvement? We are looking for a secondary school counselor who can help us achieve our mission of college and career readiness and responsible contributing citizenship. We value creativity, a willingness to fail forward, and staff who care about positively impacting the lives of our students, staff, and community. This position will work closely with the administration, school counselor, student success coordinator, school social worker, and staff to ensure an effective, comprehensive school counseling program.
- Counselor position serves grades 9-12
- Understanding of Wisconsin’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program.
- Academic and career planning experience
- Experience with Career Pathway, CTE reporting and coordination with DPI and State compliance reporting related to course sequencing, career pathway, and industry level certification
- Confidence with mental health and social-emotional learning frameworks
- Character development
- Small group/individual counseling for personal social skills
- Solid foundation in academic advising and career guidance
- Post-secondary knowledge
