The Palmyra-Eagle Area School district is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2024-25 school year. The position will serve two small elementary schools and a combined middle/high school.

SUMMARY: Provides evaluation, intervention, and consultation services for and on behalf of all students. Exchange information with educational personnel, parents, and other community-based stakeholders in order to promote the education of children.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
A. Provides psychological services to all children in regular and special education as well as offering consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and parents.
B. Collects relevant data using valid and reliable instruments and techniques such as; observations, background information, and direct service methods.
C. Participates in the IEP (Individual Education Program) process to develop, review, evaluate, case manage, and help implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
D. Coordinates or serves as a member of diagnostic teams and educational planning and placement committees and provides developmental, psychological and sociological assessment information related to planning for students.
E. Works collaboratively with school personnel, community service providers, and families in assessing, planning, establishing, and implementing modification plans for student’s behavior.
F. Identifies pupil needs and makes appropriate referrals to and participates in ABC (Academic/Behavioral Concern) Team and develops and implements strategies for IEPs and 504 plans.
G. Provides qualitative and quantitative feedback to students and parents, participates in parent/teacher conferences and open houses.
H. Recognizes the importance of parental support and seeks to obtain this by assuring that there is direct parent contact.
I. Attends meetings and conferences and participates in other activities to promote professional growth.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree from a graduate school of educational psychology.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES:
Must possess and maintain or be eligible to hold a current Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Psychologist license, Code 62.
