The Suring Public School District has an opening for a Kindergarten-12th grade special education teacher with experience working with students with autism, behavioral needs, and creating functional behavioral assessments, and implementing behavior intervention plans. The ideal candidate has certifications or specialized training in behavioral and/or autism interventions and/or therapy. Experience working in the clinical setting is highly desired. This candidate must build meaningful relationships with students and their families and be committed to whole-child learning. A bachelor’s degree is required, as the candidate must be eligible for an emergency teaching certification in special education. The district is willing to support the pursuit of a special education teacher license on an individual basis. There is a $5,000 hiring bonus for certified special education teaching applicants.
