Special Education Teacher - Vacancy ID: 205082

A valid Wisconsin teaching certificate with DPI endorsements: Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Cognitive Disabilities or Cross-Categorical required; and Elementary Teacher preferred but not required.
Candidates should have the following skills and abilities:
- collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate curriculum
- consult with staff and families to develop individualized education plans and student monitoring systems
- provide interventions for identified academic and behavior needs
- support behavior needs when necessary
- best practices for students with autism
- college and career ready IEP process
- universal design for learning.
The desired candidate should also have knowledge of data collection, progress monitoring, and 10-12 week cycles of inquiry. The successful candidate will have the ability to collaborate and develop positive relationships with colleagues, families and the community in order to enhance learning.
